These are textiles, from various parts of India, that have been decorated by hand using block-printing or resist-dye techniques or are ikat or other weaves. -
Scarves from West Bengal (6)
The hand-loomed scarves in this section were purchased from weavers in the village of Phulia, near Calcutta, West Bengal. -
Ahimsa Peace silks (1)
These cruelty-free (vegan) silk shawls were made from wild silk cocoons harvested from the forest floor after the larvae had emerged as a moth. Produced by People for Animals, the largest animal welfare organization in India. -
Embroidered scarves and stoles (4)
These scarves and stoles are hand-embroidered.
