Words I like:

"She was dressed, as usual, in an odd assortment of clothes, most of which had belonged to other people."

Coming up: MIT's Diwali Nite 2006

diwali2006color.jpgDiwali (Festival of Lights) was weeks ago, but MIT's Diwali celebration is next week, on November 10. Shaan-e-Cambridge, the bhangra troupe I'm in, has been asked to participate. The event consists of dinner and a cultural show.

Shaan-e-Cambridge will be closing the show as bhangra always closes a show. This performance is a little nerve-wracking as this will be the first time we've danced for an almost-entirely-South Asian audience. The auditorium the show is in seats 1200 and, while there probably won't be 1200 attending, it will still be a huge crowd. Tickets are available online.
